As the wife of a now retired law enforcement officer, I understand the sacrifices all frontline workers and their families make as they commit their lives to faithfully serving our community. My family’s roots in law enforcement began with my husband’s grandfather, who was a lieutenant for the local police department in Puerto Rico. My husband, Carlos, carried on the tradition with 17 years at the Lakeland Police Department and four years serving as an EMT in Puerto Rico. His career was ultimately taken from him after an injury sustained in the line of duty. As a result, he medically retired in 2022. Our team consists of passionate individuals with firsthand experience.
